REDD SUN FESTIVAL

Attention Northern California: You'd better be ready to party.

2018 redd sun festival info

We’ve always wanted a music festival, so we’re doing it! Redd Sun Festival is coming to the Redding Civic Auditorium lawn, September 29th-30th, 2018! It’s two days of live music, featuring a power clash of ROCK and COUNTRY. Saturday is your day to rock, and Sunday is country music all the way. If you’re a little bit of both, grab a 2-day pass: all you have to change is your boots.

We’ll also roll out tons of food, bars and all-ages drinks, vendors you’ll love, and some extra fun stuff to enjoy between sets and while you wait for your favorites to take the big stage: bounce around in a Manaball, tower over people with giant Jenga, get some Henna body art upgrades, cornhole like your life depends on it, and party it up with the art car and DJ dance party!

Of course, we know some of you are truly special, so we’re going to rope off a VIP area with primo stage viewing, a private bar and restrooms, and hors d'oeuvres. 100% pure swank.

Gates will open at 1PM, and the music goes from 4 -10:30PM. One ticket can get you in to see it all! Check out the details and follow all the social media things for ticket giveaways, juicy gossip, and answers to your burning questions. But first! Block out your calendar for September 29 & 30, aaaand maybe take the day off work on October 1 so you can recover.

tickets &
Will call

Here's how it works: you buy your ticket early (online, at the box office, or over the phone), and then bring your ticket to the festival along with your valid, government-issued photo ID. We'll trade you a wristband for your ticket at the festival gate. Your wristband is your entry and exit pass. Wristband = LIFE. If you do not have your wristband, you will not be able to enter or re-enter upon exiting. If you want to buy your ticket AT the festival, look for the Box Office tent when you arrive.

Picking up tickets at Will Call the day of the festival? Bring your confirmation email and a valid, government-issued photo ID to the Will Call tent at the festival. You must be the original buyer to pick up tickets at Will Call - none of this 'my uncle bought them for me so it's under his name' business. Bring your uncle and his ID if that's how it's going to be. Look for the signs for Will Call when you arrive at the venue for the event. Tickets will be exchanged for wristbands at the gate.

Don't lose your tickets, and don't lose your wristbands. Just... don't be a loser. Lost wristbands are $20 each for replacement.

Food &
Drinks

A festival is the ultimate party, so we’re stocking up on bars and food like our mamas taught us to do! We’ve locked down vendors for pizzas, dogs, crepes, BBQ, kettle corn, wraps, burgers, tacos (obviously), ice cream, sammies, plus several bars…. You won’t need to bring anything! No really: please don’t bring any food or drinks with you. Leave everything besides water at home - though we’ll have water, too. If you just HAVE to bring extra water, it must be in a clear, factory-sealed, unopened container. Want to put it in a Camelbak because you’re a festival pro? Bring your ‘bak empty, and put the water in after you clear security. See more rules about Camelbaks, water, and the like here

Oh and PS: No tailgating, no glass, and no alcohol in our parking lots. Party WITH us, not adjacent to us. If you can't behave in our parking lots, we probably won't let you in to our party, wristband or not. More security rules here.

GETTING HERE & PARKING

Redd Sun Festival will take place at the Redding Civic Auditorium on our huge [and frankly quite inviting] front lawn.

Redding Civic Auditorium Lawn
700 Auditorium Drive, Redding Ca 96001

Parking will be provided on a limited basis... You know, the whole first come, first serve system. We will also provide secured bike parking and instructions on other places nearby where your car can have some quality alone time while you party. Check back here later for all the official details.

ACCOmMODATIONS

Ya like beds? We got beds. Redding has thousands of hotel rooms, AirBnB options, and even some pretty amazing camping not too far away.  Unfortunately, camping on the premises will not be allowed, but if sleeping under the stars is what you're after, Northern California does not disappoint in September. Look to the nearby National Parks, Recreation Areas, Forests, and other public lands. You can even stay on a houseboat if that's how you roll.... or float.

Check out our official Hotel Partners here. But don't wait too long to start looking and booking, this town will fill up faster than you can say "I saw them at Redd Sun in '18".
